Here you will
find the most recent album reviews. I will be updating this area
regularly and bumping the older reviews into the main library of
album reviews in the next section below. So this area will not
stagnate. Labels and bands looking for a review of something
recently sent in this is where you need to look. Click the

Here you will
find the most recent short reviews. I do not have the time to do
ultra long reviews on everything so this is a mix of Album & demo reviews in
brief form. I will be updating this area

This will obviously be the biggest and most comprehensive review
section. A lot of water and reviews went under the bridge since
late 1997 when I started this (not to mention all the reviews I did
for years for other zines but I am not digging those up haha) this
mess. So grab a drink, a smoke / pipe or if you are like me and your
vice is java, then grab a coffee, dim the lights, put on some Venom
and dig the fuck in!

I think you all know how much and the Canadian Assault writers
revere the format known as vinyl. It is the ultimate format, it was
made for metal, admit that and I will not call you poser. From the
rich warm popping sound to the supreme oversize cover artwork
and liner note collages, it just screams metal!!

The library of past Rapid Fires, dig in and
bring an extra clip or two. I do not have the time to do
ultra long reviews on everything so this is a mix of Album & demo reviews in
brief form. This goes back to... oh... it must have been around issue 4 or 5 of
the print zine when I started doing these. They hit you hard and quick, no
bullshit just straight to the point. Click the
