Metal hails Wes!! When did you first discover metal music? Who were some of
the early bands you listened to?
I'm an old schooler....so
it was in the 70 when I was a kid.....bands I liked back then were
ac/dc...kiss...aerosmith...judas priest...rainbow...black sabbath...you get
the idea. That all spiraled into liking heavier music as time went on.
Blaspherian formed in 2004, when did you
first meet the other members of the band? How did all of you come up with
the name of the band?
Well I came up with
the name, just basically in an idea I was working on, for a song title for
another band.....originally it was gonna be a song called BLASPHERIA......I
came up with the idea of adding the 'N' at the end, and there it was....I've
known Daniel foe years before we started the band...he introduced me to Matt
Mayhem, and that's how it started! 
What is the current line-up for the band?
For the readers who have never heard
Blaspherian, how would you best describe the music?
BLASPHERIAN IS:
WES INFERNAL...GUITARS
DANIEL DESEKRATOR...VOCALS
MATT MAYHEM...DRUMS
JO NECRO...GUITARS
MISANTHROPE...BASS
AND WE PLAY SATANIC
DEATH METAL!
Blaspherian is getting ready to release a
new 7inch through Iron Bonehead Records. How did the band come in contact
with this great label? Will you work with the label again on future
recordings?
I basically just
messaged Patrick and asked....was that simple...also yes we would love to
work with them again! KILLER LABEL AND EASY TO WORK WITH!
How long did it take the band to write the
music on the new ep “Upong The Trone Of Eternal Black Death”? Does the whole
band usually take part in writing all the material or does it fall to just
one member?
Basically the
songwriting process takes some time as it's usually me that writes
everything....the others do contribute from time to time...
How has the response been from the fans?
What about the press?
So far the response is
totally killer!
Besides the new 7inch, does Blaspherian
have any new merchandise available or coming soon? If yes, tell the readers
a little about it and where they can buy it from?
Yes
another 7" is planned...a split with ITALY'S In League With Satan, and as
well new t-shirt designs etc....
Does Blaspherian have any tours or shows
coming up early in 2015?
As we speak we are
working on some things, the only thing confirmed right now is our appearance
at Destroying Texas Fest 11...that's gonna be a killer fest!
Who are some bands Blaspherian has had the
pleasure to share the stage with? If you could set up a dream tour who are
some bands {past or present} you would like to play shows with?
Dream tour would have
to be with GRAVE MIASMA...a list of bands we've played with..TOO MANY!
but...was an honor to share the stage with ARCHGOAT!
Blaspherian comes out of the great Texas
metal scene. What is your opinion of the UG scene from your state?
The scene here is
killer....many great bands!! here's a partial list! HOD… MORGENGRAU...IMPRECATION...SATANIC
GOAT RITUAL...OATH OF CRUELTY...SO MANY!
Who are your all-time favorite Texas
bands? Are their any new bands
you think readers should check out?
Fave Texas
bands...Devastation, Militia, Necrovore, Watchtower, Slayer, Helstar…again,
so many!
Wes you handle the guitars for the band.
When did you first become interested in the playing the guitars? Are you
self-taught or did you take lessons when first starting out?
Mainly
self taught. I started early, but never really took it seriously....was
lucky enough to get in a band you may have heard of...IMPRECATION (hell
yeah! -Dale)...they helped teach me a lot! My advice would be to jam with as
many people as possible and to keep working hard! Practice makes perfect!
Who are some of your influences / favorite
guitarists? Do you currently play any other instruments?
Mercyful
Fate...Venom...old Slayer...old Morbid Angel...the german thrash scene....I
only play guitar! And not that well, I just work on material till I like it!
Wes are you or any of the members currently
working with side bands or solo projects?
Matt is in a killer
local houston band, OATH OF CRUELTY....and also matt and joe help with
MORBOSIDAD at the moment as well....
What does the term “Undergroud Metal” mean
to you?
Well obviously to me
it means NON MAINSTREAM ...Non commercial....staying true to your roots with
out ever selling out!
